Bikes offer you the most flexibility. Although bikes are not allowed on the grounds, an area for you to leave your bike will be provided.

On Saturday 7th September 2019, the organiser, the Austrian Federal Armed Forces, will be offering a particularly practical travel option: Specially hired shuttle trains will take AIRPOWER19 visitors to Zeltweg from their specially designed large park & ride car park in Kraubath – free of charge.

Every 15 minutes throughout the day on Saturday 7th September 2019.

The Austrian Federal Railways guarantee a pleasant and traffic-free arrival and departure for visitors from far afield. The Zeltweg train station is only a few minutes on foot from the AIRPOWER19 grounds. Timetable information will follow. Here is a link to the general ÖBB timetable.

Scheduled regional trains will offer double the normal number of seats between Bruck/Mur and Unzmarkt on 6th/7th September 2019.

Regional bus lines provide transport to Zeltweg from the immediate vicinity. Detailed information can be found at www.verbundlinie.at/aichfeldbus.

Free shuttle buses provide transport from the large purpose-built park & ride in Fisching, to AIRPOWER19 in Zeltweg every 15 to 35 minutes.

Electric vehicles are highly recommended for the trip to AIRPOWER19.

From Linz: First take the A7 towards the Linz junction (Knoten Linz), then continue on the A1 towards Salzburg to the Voralpenkreuz junction (Knoten Voralpenkreuz). Continue south on the A9 to the St. Michael junction (Knoten St. Michael), before taking the S36 towards Judenburg. This will take you to Zeltweg.

From Salzburg: In Salzburg take the A10 towards Klagenfurt, then take exit 104 in St. Michael towards Tamsweg and continue via Murau towards Scheifling. In Scheifling turn left onto the S36. This will take you straight to Zeltweg.

From Graz: Take the A9 to the St. Michael junction (Knoten St. Michael), then change to the S36 towards Judenburg. This will take you to Zeltweg.

From Vienna: Take the A2 south to the Seebenstein junction (Knoten Seebenstein), where you join the S6. Follow it to the St. Michael junction (Knoten St. Michael), before changing to the S36 towards Judenburg, which will take you to Zeltweg.

From Klagenfurt: Take the A2 north to Mauterndorf. Leave the motorway there and take the B78 directly to Zeltweg.

Parking facilities, including shuttle buses to the event area, are provided for cars, motorcycles, and buses. We will publish an overview of the parking facilities here from August.

A daily fee will be charged for these parking areas. Parking is permitted until 10pm. All parking spaces should therefore be cleared by 10pm. Overnight parking or camping is not permitted in these parking areas.

Disabled parking areas

People with disabilities can park free of charge at a visitor car park at the Sportzentrum Zeltweg area near the event grounds.

Additional park & ride options on Saturday, 7th September 2019

On the busier Saturday, those arriving from the west can leave their vehicle in Fisching. Those coming from the east can park in Kraubath. There are free bus shuttles from Fisching and train shuttles from Kraubath every 15 to 25 minutes to Zeltweg and back.

Parking fees

A small fee is levied to help cover the costs of the parking areas around the event grounds and for the park & ride spaces in Fisching and Kraubath. Parking is permitted until 10pm.

Please ensure the car park is clear by this time.

*Campervans, caravans and tents: The organiser will not offer camping space. Camping and overnight parking in the car parks is prohibited. Please use the official campsites in the vicinity for camping and overnight stays.

Landing private aircraft at the Hinterstoisser military airfield is not permitted.
