Diamond Aircraft is an Austrian aircraft manufacturer with production facilities in Austria, Canada and China. The company is headquartered in the Lower Austrian city of Wiener Neustadt.
Diamond Aircraft is also the operator of the Wiener Neustadt/Ost airfield.
Diamond Aircraft’s composite single-engine DA50 RG (RG = Retractable Gear) is equipped with 300 hp Continental jet fuel engines and carries up to five people.
The DA50 RG has won several awards, including the iF Design Award and awards for best aircraft from German aviation magazines Fliegermagazin and Aerokurier. The aircraft (in RG version) took its maiden flight in October 2019 and was certified by EASA in 2020.
The DA50 RG is the world’s most spacious, fuel-efficient, luxurious, modern and eco-friendly single piston engine aircraft.
